It's a quirky capricious and savagely funny look at the man-woman relationsip.
And this time Abbas has signed on John Abraham as the male lead.
John who's currently shooting in New York for Kabeer Khan's treatise on terrorism entitled New York is currently searching for roles that would challenge him as an actor. After Anurag Kashyap's No Smoking and Nagesh Kukunoor's on-release Aashayein, Abbas Tyrewala is just the director John needed to get his creative juices flowing.
John not only starring in Abbas Tyrewala's next, tentatively titled 1-800-Love, he's also co-producing it along with the the Ghajini producer Madhu K.
Abbas who's currently polishing up the 1-800-Love script says John decided to jump in as a producer the minute he heard the script. "After hearing the narration John not only loved the script he wanted to come on as partner. So effectively the project will have three producers—Madhu, John and myself."
The film will be shot in April in Boston in a start-to-finish schedule Abbas Tyrewala has now headed for hills to write the final draft of the script.
Incidentally the film gets its title from the toll-free phone numbers in the US.
